On May 9, 2015, I married my soul mate and best friend.
The weather didn’t cooperate at all. There was constant rain, snow, cold, a canceled ballgame, and even an earthquake. But it was still the perfect day. We showed how, when supported by those who love us, we can make anything workable…and beautiful.
It was a very small celebration because we wanted something where we could be flexible. Plus, we’re both introverts. I can’t do crowds, especially when the focus is on me. This upset some people, but those who understood saw that we weren’t purposely excluding people; we were just trying to do what was right for us. It turned out to be a good thing we had so few people due to the last-minute changes we had to make on account of the weather.
My back held up quite well. I think it was the corset in the dress (and maybe the adrenaline).
(I’m including photos in this post mostly of my husband and myself. I don’t want to be posting pictures of people without their permission. Gotta respect privacy or something.)
I'm from Montana and despite living in six different states, Montana is still my heart's home. I have passion for many things in life, including my beautiful daughter and son, my amazing husband, Nebraska Football, playing softball, hiking, healthcare policy, aviation, running, yoga, reading, outdoor life, animals, hiking, sports, and so much more. It's always growing and changing. I have a BA in History, with a minor in Sociology from Montana State- Billings and an MA in Journalism and Mass Communications (specialization in Marketing, Communications, and Advertising) from the University of Nebraska.
